Business Lesson :
“Working hard for something we don’t care about is called stress. Working hard for something we love is called passion” – Simon Sinek
Working at a non-for-profit for 5 years and feeling underappreciated, drained, and burnt out I learned that I wasn’t ever going to go back to working for someone that wouldn’t appreciate my skills and talents. I grew up in a very entrepreneurial family so I always had the tenacity to own and start my own business and be my own boss. So when life poses challenges I ask myself – what is this adversity trying to teach me ? How is it trying to make me a better version of myself ? And through some soul searching and amazing mentors along the way, I learned I had to do something that I felt passionate about. How could I give 40+ hours of my time to someone and feel miserable at it ? How is that fair. Now I am very proud to say, at this point of owning my practice for 10+ years now, I wake up each day excited to see my patients, and absolutely feel passionate about what I do. We all get 24 hours in a day, it’s up to us to use them to maximize our potential on this planet and live our highest purpose. Thanks to the help from my psychologist and mentors along the way that stepped in and continue to step in without who I wouldn’t have this resilient mindset, self-love and love for helping and impacting others that crosses my path.
Life Lesson :
“Your time in this life is limited, don’t waste it living someone else’s life”
We were each placed on this earth with a unique purpose. A purpose that is much bigger than ourselves. After having suffered through sexual trauma in my pre-teen years, enduring 3rd-degree burn where I almost lost my life in my teens, not being able to become a surgeon – a dream I so dreamt as a little girl, going through a divorce which was one of the hardest things I have been through, a failed entrepreneurial venture and bouts of depression, suicidal ideations, and PTSD on and off over 20 years of my life. I have learned through all my sufferings that, after every valley, there is a mountain and change is the only constant we have. That nothing will ever last forever, good or bad, so instead focus on healing and being the better version of yourself when in the valley, and when on the mountain be grateful for now and today and cherish it so you remember these times are coming again. God/Universe answers in 3 ways – He says yes and gives you what we want, or says no and gives you something better, or He says wait and gives you the best (PeterJbone). So keep learning and growing, without the bad, we wouldn’t appreciate the good, have complete faith in the universe that it’s all happening for a reason that you might not understand right now, and continue to pay it all forward once you tune into your purpose. Sending you all love and light !!!

The one MAIN lesson that I’ve learned along my personal & professional journey is to never work a job just for the money. Instead, choose a job you love so much that you’d be willing to do it for free. Yet be so good at it, you’ll end up getting paid anyways. I believe that money should not be the determining factor when choosing a job, or occupation. If you love your work, it automatically brings out the very best in you. No human being is completely internally satisfied, personally or professionally, in business unless he or she has an undying passion and love for their vocation, mission, or work. To me Money isn’t everything, “Love”’ is !!! – ❤️

The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings but shorter tempers, wider Freeways, but narrower viewpoints. We spend more, but have less, we buy more, but enjoy less. We have bigger houses and smaller families, more conveniences, but less time. We have more degrees but less sense, more knowledge, but less judgment, more experts, yet more problems, more medicine, but less wellness.

Isn’t it Amazing how We can ALL look at the same picture, yet See different things ???
Although similar at times, People are generally just “Different” …
Recognizing this fundamental truth is essential for creating positive, respectful, loving, and understanding relationships.
However, in reality, we don’t fully accept and acknowledge that people “do” differ from us. Instead we are bent upon changing one another. We resent, resist, and reject each other’s differences. We demand that the people in our lives feel, think, and behave as we would. And when they react differently we make them feel wrong and / or invalidate them; we try to fix them when they really need understanding and nurturing; we try to improve them when instead they need acceptance, appreciation, and trust.
We complain that if only “they” would change, we could love them; if only they would agree with us, we could love them, if only they would feel the way we do, we could love them; and if only they would do what we ask, we could love them.
What, then, is love ??? … Is love accepting and appreciating a person only when they fulfill our expectations ??? … Is love the act of changing a person into what we want rather than what they choose to be ??? … Is love caring for or trusting a person because they think … and … feel the way we do ???
Certainly this isn’t love. It may feel like love to the Giver … But …. not to the Receiver. Real love is unconditional. It does not demand but affirms and values. Unconditional love is not possible without the recognition and acceptance of our differences. As long as we mistakenly believe that our loved ones would be better off thinking, feeling, and behaving the way we do, true love will be forever obstructed.
People tend to take different paths and routes when it comes to seeking fulfillment and happiness … and … displaying and / or feeling loved. Just because they aren’t on the same road as you, it doesn’t mean that they are lost.
Instead of focusing your efforts constantly trying to change others, look inward and see how you yourself can change and / or grow as a human being. We all have our shortcomings. Realize that whenever you point a finger towards another in the name of perceived fault, there will always be “3” fingers pointing right back at you Mr or Mrs “Perfect” 😉.
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonour others, it is not self – seeking, it is not easily angered, and it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, and always perseveres.
Once we can accept that all people aren’t cut from the same cloth, we can then begin to seriously “explore” how we are all individually different … and … ultimately elevate our own Personal Social Skills of “Empathy”.
“Empathy” is the ability to see, feel, and interpret the world through the eyes, body, and soul of another. Unfortunately, in our selfish, egotistical, and self centred society … NOT … everyone displays enhanced Empathy … or … even a hint of Empathy at all.
… Do the people that you surround yourself with bring the word “Empathy” to life ???
… Do the people in your work place “Exemplify” and “Execute” the word Empathy ???
… and most importantly …

Personal “Success”, not necessarily money, is the “Progressive” Realization towards Ones’ own Dream – Agreed ??? …
Once upon a time, there was this young person who wanted a lot more out of life. In fact, their biggest dream was to make a lot of money, and so they went to a guru to seek guidance and direction.
They told the guru, “I wanna be on the same level that you’re on.”
And so, the guru said, “If you wanna be on the same level that I’m on, I’ll meet you tomorrow at the beach at 4 am.”
They thought, “The beach. I said I wanna make money, I don’t wanna swim.” But then they got there at 4 am anyways, all ready to rock and roll.
The old guru grabbed their hand. “How bad do you want to be successful?”
They replied, “Real Bad.”
So, the guru said, “Come with me”
So, they walked out into the water waist deep. This young person then said to themselves, “This man’s crazy. I told him that I wanna make money and he’s got me out here swimming. I didn’t ask to be a lifeguard. I just wanna make money.”
The guru then said, “Come out a little further.” So, they did. They were now shoulder height deep into the water.
This young person then internally thought once again, “This old guru is crazy. He’s making money, but he’s crazy.”
The guru then said, “Come out a little more further”. They came out a little further, and this time the water was right at the level of their mouths now.
The young person then said, “I’m going back to the shore, you’re out of your mind.”
But then the guru loudly roared – “I thought you wanted to be successful!”
They replied, “I do !! – I do !!!”
The guru then said again, “Walk out into the water just a little more further…”
So after proceeding a little further, the guru unexpectedly pushed their head into the water holding them under. The shocked submerged person was scratching, clawing, fighting to get up with ALL of their might, however, the guru kept them down under water a little while longer and just before they were about to pass out, the guru raised them up.
The Guru then said, “I have a question for you now. When you were under water, what was the only thing you wanted to do? More than anything?”
With shortness of breath, The young person replied, “I wanted to breathe.”
The guru then said, “When you want to succeed as bad as you want to breathe, then you’ll be successful.”
… Personal “Success”, not necessarily acquired money, is the sum of small efforts repeated Daily resulting in a “Progressive” Realization towards Ones’ own Dream …

“M” = Masters of Deception – Beware !!!
“A” = Afraid of the Truth, they KNOW that there are others out there BETTER than them … and … it Terrifies them.
“N” = Never apologizes, Never admits when they’re wrong, Never sincerely volunteers to Uplift and Esteem others.
“I” = Insecure and constantly needing validation to feed their perception of Self – Importance.
“P” = People are “stupid” and “gullible” in their eyes … and … they feel that they are so much more smarter than Everybody else.
“U” = Unique in their ways of twisting your words around, so that way the blame ends up on you. They’ll often try to put you in a position of fear, guilt, obligation, and / or self-doubt. Don’t fall for it, stand your ground and call them out on it.
“L” = Liar, Liar, pants of fire – They are the biggest liars on the planet.
“A” = Agenda driven = meaning ONLY their Agenda is what matters. They’re constantly undermining the needs and wants of others in order to fulfill their own. They have no respect for anybody else’s authority, wishes, rules, and / or disciplines.
“T” = They actually believe that people don’t see right through their conniving ways.
“O” = Obviously always playing the “Victim” – Forever blaming others and Never taking Ownership of their Personal and / or Professional shortcomings.
“R” = Reluctant to let someone else have the “Spotlight” – They must ALWAYS be “# 1” in the eyes and hearts of others, even if it means tearing others down in order to Big themselves up.
“S” = Self – Less in the public eye … BUT … Secretly a Truly Selfish Soul. To them = “Success Sucks When It’s Somebody Elses”
…. Beware of the Manipulator – They prey on the Vulnerable !!!

… Ps. Manipulators, they are nothing but anchors and road blocks in your life. Identify them and expel them from your lives immediately. But before you do, “play” with them for a little while and purposely diffuse every conniving manipulative action that they are trying to perform and pull over on you and on others. Stone wall them in ALL of their tracks as often as possible and let that be your form of entertainment – You know they deserve it.
